    UK MOD Signs Protector Support Contract with GA-ASI

    The United Kingdom’s Ministry of Defence has signed a support and sustainment contract with General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) for logistics and maintenance of the Protector RG Mk1 Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) system. The contract — known as the UK Protector Availability and Support Solution or UK PASS — will provide ongoing support for the new Protector RPA systems supplied by GA-ASI and now being operated by the UK’s Royal Air Force (RAF).

    General Atomics Ships Final Heating Components for U.K. Fusion Project

    Engineers at General Atomics (GA) have reached a key milestone, completing the final shipment of critical corrugated waveguide components to the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority’s (UKAEA) Culham Campus. The delivery supports an upgrade to the Mega Ampere Spherical Tokamak (MAST) Upgrade machine, a next-generation fusion experiment that will soon test the novel plasma heating method called Electron Bernstein Wave (EBW) heating.
