Cryotech's Myhra Inducted Into IASS Hall of Fame

BUFFALO, NY – APRIL 28, 2025 - Cryotech is honored to celebrate the induction of former Product Manager, A. Tony Myhra into the inaugural Hall of Fame class 2025 for the International Snow Symposium (IASS). The IASS is the world-renowned conference for Snow fighters worldwide. This remarkable achievement reflects his extensive contributions to the deicing industry and his dedication to educating others. His career spans over five decades, beginning with Chevron Chemical Company in 1966 and continuing with Cryotech Deicing Technology after its acquisition by General Atomics in 1992.

Tony's expertise in acetate deicers has been instrumental in improving safety on runways, ramps, roadways, and parking facilities. His involvement with the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) and the Transportation Research Board (TRB) committee on Winter Maintenance highlights his commitment to advancing industry standards and practices. Tony was instrumental in developing the curriculum for the AAAE Basic Snow Academy.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Tony served 36 years in the U.S. Army Reserves Medical Service Corps, retiring as a Colonel in 2002. His selection for the Hall of Fame by the IASS selection committee, which reviewed over 100 resumes, underscores his significant impact on the industry.

The IASS, now in its 57th year, continues to bring together Snow fighters from around the world to share knowledge and learn from industry leaders, ensuring the safety of the flying public during winter weather.
