The main General Atomics campus is located on a 120-acre site in San Diego, California, approximately 15 miles north of downtown's San Diego International Airport, mostly via Interstate 5. It is also about 120 miles south of Los Angeles International Airport, mostly via Interstate 405 (the San Diego Freeway) and Interstate 5.

General Atomics is best reached by car or taxi as the public bus and train transportation are not very convenient. There is plenty of lodging in the vicinity of General Atomics. Some hotels offer special rates if you mention General Atomics.
