For new applications as well as for existing customers, General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS) performs thorough laboratory-scale testing and analysis of customer-provided slurry oil and other process fluid samples. By providing comprehensive sample test data, we can help customers:
- Determine level of catalyst and other particles content prior to system design
- Provide on-going analysis of customer feedstock oil and clarified (separated) oil outputs
We provide data on the particle content in parts per million (ppm) from a 20-liter sample before and after electrostatic separation. Additional analysis using a Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) can also be performed to identify the exact individual element content of the separated particles. High temperature burn-back tests are also available to measure carbon content in ppm of the filtered oil sample particles.
