The table shows standard ratings for illustrative purposes only. Custom ratings and sizes are easily engineered based on customer requirements and application information.   • Capacitance tolerance ± 10% standard, ± 5% is available upon request
  • End-of-life is defined by 5% capacitance loss. For longer life, derate the voltage per Chart 1
  • Nominal voltage reversal rating is 20%. Derate for higher voltage reversal per Chart 2
  • Fault condition voltage reversal rating is 80%. Maximum Fault Current is twice the rated current, up to a maximum of 350 kA. Contact us for higher pulse current requirements
  • Two low profile, high voltage bushings isolated from the case is the standard circuit configuration for Series CMX. A four terminal configuration supplied on the 255 kJ units provides two capacitors in one case that can be connected in series or in parallel. Custom single terminal and multiple terminal designs are available upon request.
  • Capacitors are provided with internal "bleeder resistors" to provide a means to discharge the capacitor should it become disconnected from external circuitry. The time constant for self-discharge is 5,000-10,000 seconds
  • RMS current ratings are based on a 10 ºC internal hot spot temperature rise after continuous operation with convective air cooling. If the capacitor ambient temperature is well below maximum or forced air cooling is available, or if the capacitor is operated in burst mode duty cycle, higher RMS currents may be possible. Contact the factory with your application information
  • Operating temperature range is -20 to +65 ºC. Storage temperature range is -40 to +70 ºC
  • Standard models are impregnated with a synthetic dielectric liquid. A Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) is available upon request.
