A high pressure solids feeder has been developed which allows solid waste to be fed directly to a high pressure (~4000 psi) vessel with little or no pre-processing or size reduction. A working prototype has been built and successfully utilized for processing plastic and paper/plastic feeds. Efforts are underway to increase the feeder rate 10-fold while verifying operation with more diverse waste feeds.

Dunnage and non-process materials accompanying munitions operations including packing materials, wood munition pallets and associated metal scrap, personnel protection suits with gloves and boots, plastic bags, used filter carbon, waste oils, and used hydraulic fluid.
A dunnage shredding and handling system was designed and developed by GA that shreds and grinds wood munition boxes and pallets, plastics and rubber protection suits, and spent carbon to particles the size of fine sand. The system mixes them with water, decontamination solution, and hydrolysates in a large industrial-size mixer to produce a slurry that can be completely destroyed in SCWO or by some other means.
